Today I bring to you a little bit of free gothic music, you can download it from Internet 100% legal, we going to talk about…
I'm not sure how are things going outside of Spain, but here we are having some issues with illegal music copies, that created some political problems and even social disturbs sometimes because of some even unconstitutional legal texts.
This days having a little bit of free music that you can freely download and play everywhere without fearing the consequences is more than welcome.
This article is dedicated to all local owners that want to create a gothic ambient without having to pay for the music.
“The smell of knowledge” is an album composed by only 6 songs that I would define as gothic/electronic/ambient, it’s ideal for creating that special ambient that we all love, personally I would love to find it as the background of a pub in which I could expend some time with my friends drinking some beers.
This work has been created by Lonsai Maikov in France with collaborations by ales//musiques d'images and Aevum Spiritus.
In words of Lonsai Maikov:
«"The Smell of Knowledge" is nostalgia and not. It is a return to our first sonic experimentations and also a brand new way of working in the light of spiritual and philosophocal revelation.
The Smell of Knowledge is a six songs release with collaborations for four of them.
Nostalgia and not for two collaborations are with our very old friend (witness and co-worker of the first ever tapes of LM) Ales, and not nostalgia for two others are collaborations with our brand new and dear Russian friend Aevum Spiritus.
The Smell of Knowledge is also the result of a great collaboration with Rasul of the Lomeanor netlabel wich policy has seduced us sinc the beginning of our correspondence through Myspace.
The Smell of Knowledge is so a true child of the web. True child of the void on which however singularities can fly over and meet despite the anger for void of the spider of control.
We escape control and we create our own singularities.
The Smell of Knowledge is a child of the singularities communion over the web of the cruel spider.»
The only problem of this release is that it’s only about 30 minutes long, it makes it a little short for depending what you want it for, anyway it shouldn’t be a problem because you have way much more excellent ambient music in Lomeanor Web site.
Lastly I left you with the Album track list as well as some links of direct download 100% legal, have to say that those files are not hosted in my hosting but in Lomeanors one, my advice is that you download it all and listen to it while reading a book, navigate through Web or pick some beers with friends.
For those that don't know Lomeanor is a music distribution Web site that distribute creative commons music, it means it's free to download, its located in Russia. If you know of any other project like that, please let me know.
